On November 26th, 2002 Eric Michael Quesada was killed by a 16-yr-old drunk driver with an extensive history of drug and alcohol abuse. Life as we knew it was changed forever when Brian Ricks made the decision to get behind the wheel while intoxicated and under the influence of marijuana. Our world will never be the same with Eric gone. We miss him more than words can express.

For those who knew Eric, they were forever changed long before the day that Eric was killed. Eric had a way about him that made people feel better about themselves. He was the kind of person who made others feel lucky just to know him, to be in his presence. He always had a smile on his face and something nice to say if it looked like someone was having a bad day. Eric was sunshine on a cloudy day. The world is a darker place without Eric.

Eric's Mom, Stepfather, family and friends decided to celebrate his life with something that he was extremely passionate about: Music. Those who knew him, knew that Eric was a Rockstar. He sang, he wrote lyrics and he performed like he'd been on stage all of his life. Music was his life.

In Honor of Eric, the Passion In Music Scholarship was created to assist other young artists in their musical pursuits. It is a need based award given to outstanding individuals with an interest in music that is not traditionally recognized in a school environment.
